Hold Fast Your Confession

Your confession is what you say. The Bible tells you to hang on
tight to saying God's Word.

HEBREWS 10:23 NKJ
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without
wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

God has no reason to tell us to hold fast, or hang on tight, to
our confession, unless someone, or something, will be trying to
get us to turn loose of it - and say something else.

HEBREWS 3:1 NKJ
1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling,
consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ
Jesus,

HEBREWS 4:14 NKJ
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed
through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
confession.

Jesus is the High Priest of our confession - what we say. He
represents us before God with the words we speak.

The Bible says:

You are righteous in Christ. Romans 3:22
even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all
[a] who believe. For there is no difference
NKJ

You are forgiven. Colossians 2:13
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses NKJ

You are healed. 1 Peter 2:24
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
You are delivered from the devil. Colossians 1:13
NKJ

You can do all things through Christ. Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me NKJ

You are strong in the Lord. Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. NKJ

The Greater One is in you. 1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. NKJ

The Lord is guiding you. John 16:13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. NKJ

God is working in you. Philippians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. NKJ

The Lord is your helper. Hebrews 13:6
So we may boldly say: “ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
[a]
NKJ

Jesus became poor to make you rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.NKJ

You may wonder why you should say what God says in the Bible
about you. First, God is looking for faith, and second, it is
the Word planted in your life that will make you free. Speaking
God's Word is a way of planting it in you.

Yes, it can take faith to say what the Bible says about you.
Especially when you don't feel like it and the circumstances
don't agree, either. But we have to choose: will we rely on our
feelings, or God's Word? Do we trust the circumstances more
than God's Word?

But you may say, "What the Word says is just not true in my
life." You are the establishing witness. God has said something
about you. Now when you come into agreement with Him, it will
become manifest in your life.

MARK 11:23 NKJ
23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
`Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to
pass, he will have whatever he says.

Jesus told us that we will have whatever we say - if we believe
it. It will come to pass. So you see why the devil tries to get
us to quit saying God's Word, which will set us free.

SAY THIS: I will say what God says about me - regardless of my
feelings or circumstances.

Quotes for Thought

"There's no better book with which to defend the Bible than the Bible itself.". D. L. Moody "The gospel alone is sufficient to rule the lives of Christians everywhere...any additional rules made to govern men's conduct added nothing to the perfection already found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.""  John Wycliffe "The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection. And we must not select a few favorite passages to the exclusion of others. Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian."
 A. W. Tozer

The Bible Answer

A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter. So he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: "I have circled the block 100 times. If I don't park here, I'll miss my appointment. FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES."

When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note. "I've circled this block for 10 years. If I don't give you a ticket, I'll lose my job. LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION."

The Owners Manuel

When we buy an appliance we get instructions
Of how it works and what not to do,
God has an Owners Manuel too you see
When He made His greatest creation, which is you.

You exist only because God wants you to exist,
You are created BY God and also FOR God,
God created you too for His own purpose,
He created you specifically and He put you on earth's sod

God's owners Manual of course is the Bible
It explains why you are here and how your life works too,
What we shall avoid, and what to expect in the future
And why we're alive, both me and you.

God is the source of our Being
To discover your purpose in life, you must turn to God's word,
You must have Trust, and Faith and Love,
God created you, thinking someone else did is absurd.

God planned your birth, He created you,
He custom made you as you are today,
Just always follow His Owners Manual,
And be sure to thank Him as you pray
